Dissertation Literature Review

A dissertation literature review is a part of discursive style, not a list relating or shortening one piece of writing after a further. It's frequently a bad sign to see every paragraph commencement with the name of a researcher. In its place, systematize the dissertation literature review into sections that present themes or identify trends, including relevant theory. You are not trying to list all the material published, but to synthesize and evaluate it according to the conducting thought of your thesis or research question.

Evaluate this to an annotated bibliography, which is something completely different. For writing an annotated bibliography, you may need to summaries each item briefly, but should still follow throughout themes and thoughts and do some serious estimation of material. Use an overall opening and conclusion to state the scope of your coverage and to prepare the question, problem, or concept your chosen material illuminates. Usually you will have the option of grouping items into sections this helps you indicate comparisons and relationships. You may be able to write a dissertation paragraph or so to introduce the focus of each section.
